Our Monthly Meetings & Activities
Unless otherwise stated, indoor meetings are held at the Sefton Hotel, ON A WEDNESDAY, meet for lunch 12.00 Noon in Sir Norman's Bar, followed by the advertised talk in The Garden Room or Restaurant.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO BOOK LUNCHES WITH AVRIL BY THE MONDAY PRIOR TO THE LISTED MEETING AT THE SEFTON HOTEL.
Outdoor activities: Walks, Trips etc. usually on Wednesdays at 10.30 a.m., from various venues. Grid ref. and Terrain listed.

June 16th: Ayres Walk - World War 2 sites
CHANGE OF MEETING POINT
We had planned on the programme to return to The Ayres to complete our World War sites walk with Erica Spencer, DAFF Warden.
Last year's walk was cut short when Maurice decided to explore an old radar transmitting bunker and disappeared through rotten floorboards tearing knee muscle and tendons. Maurice had a spell in hospital and is finally back walking with us again.
Erica tells me that we had almost completed the WW sites walk - but she would like us to explore the Ayres a little more with her and has asked that we meet at The Visitor Centre at Ballaghennie at 10.30am. instead of The Cranstal layby.
We look foward to meeting Erica again at The Ayres on 16th June. Lunch: Mooragh Park Café.
June 23rd: Picnic get-together at "The Sound" or lunch in the café. Meet Car Park 12 noon.
July 14th: Spooyt Vane Walk. Meet at Glen Wyllin beach car park: 310905. Lunch at The Mitre, Kirk Michael. Hilly.
July 21st: (PLEASE NOTE INCORRECT DATE WAS PREVIOUSLY SHOWN AS July 23rd) Annual BBQ at Jean's Ballacottier Cottage & Bungalow.

August 11th: Family Picnic : Port Soderick Train or Trudge.

September 22nd: Lunch Sefton : Speaker : Captain ike Brew : IOM Harbours Board.
October 13th: Arboretum Walk: Meet at Arboretum Car Park, St Johns 283810. Lunch : Tynwald Inn, St Johns Escorted Forestry walk - easy.
October 27th: Lunch Sefton: "Planning for Christmas"

November 10th: Langness Walk. Meet Hango Hill Car Park 277677.
Lunch: The Whitestone, Ballasalla easy - flat.
November 28th: Lunch Sefton : AGM - followed by "Members Day". Details of activities in October Newsletter.
December 8th: XMAS LUNCH - Garden Room, Sefton Meet 12 noon Norman's Bar. Book by Dec. 1st.
January 12th 2011: Ballure Glen Walk. Meet at Queens Pier, Ramsey 465940. Lunch at Mooragh Park Café, Ramsey Steep climb - fantastic views.
