Croydon and Purley visit the The Royal National
On the 30th March 2010, we spent one hour and a half being shown the sets and the work behind the three stages of The Royal National Theatre.
Expert workers create everything the stages need. There was the full front of a house, a high stone wall made from plastic foam was pushed past us, and some imitation parts of a tree which looked real etc. When the sets are ready they can easily be moved to one of the stages. Then we were shown some of the small items, a man's head, and lifelike animals, and also articles that are meant to be broken for every performance.
Every one of us enjoyed the trip.
